Privacy Policy

Who this policy is for

DreamTales accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. Children never sign in themselves and cannot create an account.

What we collect

• Account details — the email address you sign up with, and authentication data handled by our authentication provider.
• Child profile details you enter — first name, age, favourite animal, colour, toy, friend, hobby, dislikes, optional birthday and the “no scary content” setting. These exist only to personalise stories.
• Story data — generated stories, illustrations, characters, pets, streaks and reading history linked to your account.
• Billing data — handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

We do not ask for a child's surname, address, photograph, contact details or precise location, and we ask that you don't enter them.

How your data is used

Profile details are sent to our AI provider to write and illustrate each story, and to our narration provider when you play a story aloud. They are used to fulfil your request and are not used for advertising or sold to anyone.

Analytics and tracking

Analytics are off by default. Nothing is tracked unless you switch on “Share anonymous usage stats” in Settings, and even then only anonymous counts of actions are recorded — never story text or a child's name. There is no advertising or cross-app tracking in DreamTales.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays until you delete it. You can remove an individual child profile or story at any time, or delete your whole account from Settings → Delete account, which permanently removes every child profile, story, character and pet linked to you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to object to processing. Email privacy@awesomedreamtales.dev and we will respond.
